Delete Menu
While in the Playback Mode, you can delete one file or all files (videos and photos) from your digital camcorder through the Delete menu. The Delete Menu Options include: One All Deletes the selected file (video or photo) Deletes all files (both videos and photos)

Reminder: All your files will be deleted except those that are ‘Locked’. It you would like to save the images, please make sure to copy your images to your computer first before deleting them.
ViviLink Menu (for Videos)
The ViviLink technology allows you to quickly and easily upload your camera’s photos and videos to the social networks of your choice with the accompanying Vivitar Experience Image Manager application. The ViviLink for Videos Menu Options include: YouTube Photobucket Flickr

Lock
Pictures and videos taken with your camera can be protected or “locked” to prevent any deletion or alteration being made to the files. The Lock Menu Options include: Lock/Unlock One Lock All Unlock All Locks or Unlocks the selected file (video or photo) Locks all files (both videos and photos) Unlocks all files (both videos and photos)
This icon indicates the selected video is now locked and protected from being edited or deleted. This icon indicates the selected video is now unlocked and not protected.
Reminder: A file cannot be deleted or edited while it is locked.

Photo Capture Mode
The Photo Capture Mode allows you to capture pictures with your digital camcorder. After powering on your digital camcorder, by default the Video Capture Mode displays. To enter Photo Capture Mode: Press the MODE button once to open the Playback Mode. Alternatively, press the MENU (HOME) button to open the Camera Mode options. Tap the Camera icon to enter Photo Capture Mode.
Taking a Picture
1) While in Photo Capture Mode use the LCD display to direct the camcorder at the scene you would like to capture. 2) You can magnify your subject up to 4 times using the digital zoom while capturing your photos and recording your videos. The following Digital Zoom Indicator appears on the right side of the LCD screen:
The zoom indicating bar moves up when you Zoom In (T) and moves down when you Zoom Out (W). Alternatively, you can tap and hold the T icon on the LCD screen (above the Digital Zoom Indicator) to Zoom in. You can tap and hold the W icon on the LCD screen (below the Digital Zoom Indicator) to Zoom out. 4) The picture is automatically saved to the camcorder’s Micro SD memory card.

Taking a Self Portrait Picture
You can also capture your photos using the flip screen. 1) When you would like to quickly include yourself in the photo, simply open the LCD display and flip it around – 180 degrees. 2) 3) 4) 5) Hold the camera steady facing towards you at arm’s length (30~45cm). It’s as easy as twist and shoot!
Photo Capture Mode Menus
The following are the menus that appear in your camera’s Photo Capture Mode:

Reminder: While in Capture Mode, you can also change settings by tapping icons that appear on the LCD touch screen to toggle between the menu options until you see the desired option.

Scene Menu
The Scene Menu allows you to choose scene settings that let your camera to adapt properly to your current environment.

Resolution Menu
The Resolution menu allows you to choose the desired size of the images taken by your camera. Keep in mind that images with a higher resolution will also take up more of your camera’s memory. The Resolution Menu Options include: 12M 10M 8M 5M 3M 1M 4000x3000 3648x2736 3264x2448 2592x1944 (Default) 2048x1536 1280x960
Quality Menu
The Quality menu allows you to select the desired quality level of the images taken by your camera. Keep in mind that images with a higher image quality level will also take up more memory on your camera. The Quality Menu Options include:

The ViviLink technology allows you to quickly and easily upload your camera’s photos and videos to the social networks of your choice with the accompanying Vivitar Experience Image Manager application. [. . . ] Doing so will cancel the transfer of any files on their way to your computer.

Transferring Photos and Videos: MACINTOSH
1) 2) Use the supplied USB cable to connect your camera to your computer. ‘MSDC’ appears on the LCD – indicating that your camera is now connected to the computer as a Mass Storage Device. Click on the device icon and open the DCIM folder and the folder inside to view the media files. Alternatively, select the files and choose ‘Copy’ from the Finder’s Edit menu. [. . . ]
