When connecting the ribbon cable to the Vaisala transmitter, connect the first row of pins to the connector on the transmitter's component board (see Figure 2). Refer to the User's Guide of the transmitter for power supply requirements and connections.

Connect the First Row If the serial connection does not seem to be working, power off the transmitter, turn the connector the other way around, and try again. Also check the correct serial line settings from the User's Guide.
