Performing a Vocoder sound
1. Connectyourkeyboard(p. 11), andselectaVocodersound(ora Variationsound)(p. 20p. 21). * Even if you're vocalizing, there will be no vocoder sound unless you're pressing notes on the keyboard . Continuevocalizing("wahhh. . . ")whileyouplaythekeyboard. The pitchwillchangeaccordingtothepitchofthenotesyouplay. Pressachordonthekeyboard, andrhythmicallymodulateyour voice("wah, wah, wahhh. . . "). VocalDesignerwillgeneratesound according to the chord you're pressing, in the rhythm of your vocalizing("wah, wah, wahhh. . . "). Thisisaparticularlyusefulwaytoperformphrasesthatcontain rapidpassages. Unlike a typical synthesizer, the volume is controlled by the microphone. Inotherwords, yourvoicedefinesthevolumecurve.
