Thank you, and congratulations on your choice of the BOSS BR-532 Digital Studio. Before using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled: · USING THE UNIT SAFELY (page 23) · IMPORTANT NOTES (page 45) These sections provide important information concerning the proper operation of the unit. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new unit, Owner's manual should be read in its entirety. The manual should be saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference.
s Printing Conventions in This Manual
· Text or numerals enclosed in square brackets [ ] indicate buttons. [. . . ] Even if recorded data exists after the specified part, it will not be moved forward to fill the gap left by the erasure. Like a normal tape recorder, erasing can be considered covering unwanted data by recording emptiness. * Do not leave a portion of less than 1. 0 seconds in length after the erased portion. The three types of Track Erase are given below.
Advanced Use
Erasing the repeated portion (AB)
Perform the procedure given below to erase the portion from the repeat start (A) to the repeat end (B).

6. The display will ask "Are you sure?, " so that you can confirm the operation. Press PARAMETER [ ][ ] to move the cursor, and turn the TIME/VALUE dial to specify the beginning of the portion of data you want to erase. Press [ENTER].

Erasing by specifying the time (TIME/MES)
Perform the procedure given below to erase the portion between specific times.

9. Press PARAMETER [ ][ ] to move the cursor, and turn the TIME/VALUE dial to specify the ending of the portion of data you want to erase. The display will ask "Are you sure?, " so that you can confirm the operation. * After specifying the time in the procedure above, if you change the display to show measures (p. 50), a "+" may appear to show that there is a discrepancy between the actual current position and the position displayed. If you specify the locations using measures, specify the locations at each screen using the TIME/VALUE dial to eliminate the discrepancy.
