[. . . ] If your pre-amp, processor, amplifier or receiver has a spare set of front left and right preoutputs, connect them to the Line In jacks of the subwoofer amplifiers. If your pre-amp, processor, amplifier or receiver has a single set of preoutputs and they are being used to deliver signal to an amplifier, use "Y" cables as shown in Figure 5. With this method, the supplied satellite/subwoofer interconnecting cable is not required. dO NOT CONNECT THE SATELLITE TO THE SUBWOOFER OR YOU MAY SERIOUSLY DEGRADE THE SOUND QUALITY OF YOUR SYSTEM. If you have a Dolby® Digital or THX® surround decoder, use the "Large" setting for the front left and right speakers in the "speaker set up" or "bass management" function of your electronics. Consult the owner's manual of your electronics to learn how to check and select these settings. This method is recommended only if your surround sound receiver, pre-amp or processor has a sub-woofer output jack whose lowpass filter can be defeated. Defeat the low pass filter of the subwoofer output jack of your electronics. If you cannot do this or don't know how, use Hook-up Option 1 or 2. With this method, the supplied satellite/subwoofer interconnecting cable is not required. dO NOT CONNECT THE SATELLITE TO THE SUBWOOFER OR YOU MAY SERIOUSLY DEGRADE THE SOUND QUALITY OF YOUR SYSTEM. If you have a Dolby Digital or THX surround decoder, use the "Large" setting for the front left and right speakers in the "speaker set up" or "bass management" function of your electronics. Consult the owner's manual of your electronics to learn how to check and select these settings. Note: This option forgoes discrete left and right channel low frequency reproduction. If you have a Dolby® Digital or DTS® system, and do not have a dedicated separate subwoofer for the LFE (low frequency effects) channel, you may mix the LFE channel output into the RT3000p subwoofers. Use hook up option #2 to connect the left and right channels to the subwoofers. Connect the LFE input on the back of the RT loudspeaker to the subwoofer output(s) of your pre-amp, processor, amplifier or receiver as shown in Figure 7. If you only have one LFE output jack, use a "Y" connector to split the signal between the two subwoofers as shown below. With this method, the supplied satellite/subwoofer interconnecting cable is not required. Consult the owner's manual of your electronics to learn how to check and select these settings. Always set the front left and right speakers to the "Large" mode. You can achieve performance advantages by either bi-wiring or bi-amplifying your RT3000p's.
