To help ensure a good connection to the Internet, always use a grounded power socket and make sure your modem is connected to a telephone socket without an extension cord. In thunderstorm conditions, make sure that you disconnect your modem from the telephone line and pull out the power cord from the power outlet. - Run the Packard Bell SmartRestore utility to easily uninstall and reinstall the faulty components drivers.
