The User Guide & Code Book explains in simple steps how to set up and operate your new universal remote control. You may need this guide again in the future, so please be sure to keep it. Setup Power Your ZAPPER is designed to let you use one remote to operate your Television, Video Recorder and Satellite Receiver/Cable Box. After you have used the Search Method, you can find out which code the ZAPPER is using by blinking back the code. It's handy to know your Television, Video, Satellite or Cable code for future reference. Remember, you can only blink back your code after the ZAPPER is operating your TV, VCR, Satellite or Cable Box. To blink out your code: In Australia:

Device Keys The TV, VCR and SAT keys select the home entertainment device to be controlled. For example, TV VCR SAT pressing the TV key allows the remote to control the functions of your Television. After pressing SAT, you can operate your Satellite Receiver or Cable Converter.

Press the TV (or VCR or SAT) key on the ZAPPER. Then, press and hold the SETUP key until the light blinks twice (the light will blink once, then twice).

Next, press Programme-, Programme-, Programme+. For the first digit of your 5-digit code, press Volume+ and count the red blinks. For the fifth digit, press PLAY and count the red blinks.

Volume, Programme +/ - , Mute The Volume, Programme and Mute keys control the most frequently used functions of your devices. Video Recorder Keys After pressing the VCR key, the Video Recorder keys operate the functions of your Video Recorder. To prevent accidental recording, the Record key must be pressed twice.
