Important!Install IntelliType Pro Software
IntelliType Pro software enables the unique features of your keyboard and lets you customize it to fit your working style. To install IntelliType Pro software 1 Insert the Microsoft IntelliType Pro compact disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. If Setup does not start automatically, do the following: · Click the Start button, and then click Run. For example, if your CD-ROM drive is drive E, type e:setup 2 Follow the Setup Wizard instructions on your screen. Depending on your operating system version, you may be asked to restart your computer before Setup can begin. 3 After installation is complete, restart your computer if prompted to do so. The Quick Start Guide will automatically open to help you learn about the keyboard features. To start IntelliType Pro software · Click Start, point to Programs (or All Programs, depending on your operating system), click Microsoft Keyboard, and then click the IntelliType Pro Key Settings tab. To open the Microsoft Keyboard User's Guide, click the Help button on the IntelliType Pro Key Settings tab.

PS/2 Connection (recommended) 1 Shut down and turn off your computer. 2 If your keyboard cable has a round PS/2 connector, plug it into your computer's round PS/2 keyboard port. If your keyboard cable has a USB-to-PS/2 adaptor, attach it to the Universal Serial Bus (USB) connector, and then plug it into your computer's round PS/2 keyboard port. The keyboard lights indicate the status of the toggle keys, such as NUM LOCK or CAPS LOCK. For example, if NUM LOCK is on, the NUM LOCK light is on; if CAPS LOCK is off, the CAPS LOCK light is off. Certain keyboard models may use on-screen display (rather than a light) to indicate the status of the SCROLL LOCK toggle key.
Using the F LOCK Key (certain keyboard models only)
The F LOCK toggle key gives you more functionality by providing two command modes for the top row of keys. When F LOCK is off (F LOCK light off), the enhanced commands printed on the top of the keys are enabled. [. . . ]
