This Product Guide gives information about board layout, component installation, BIOS update, and regulatory requirements for Intel Desktop Board DG43RK.

To install a DIMM, follow these steps: 1. Remove the computer?s cover and locate the DIMM sockets (see Figure 17).
Figure 17. Make sure the clips at either end of the DIMM socket(s) are pushed outward to the open position. Holding the DIMM by the edges, remove it from its anti-static package. Align the small notch at the bottom edge of the DIMM with the key in the socket (see inset in Figure 17).

7. When the DIMM is inserted, push down on the top edge of the DIMM until the retaining clips snap into place. Replace the computer?s cover and reconnect the AC power cord.
Removing DIMMs
To remove a DIMM, follow these steps: 1. Hold the DIMM by the edges, lift it away from the socket, and store it in an anti-static package. Reinstall and reconnect any parts you removed or disconnected to reach the DIMM sockets. Replace the computer?s cover and reconnect the AC power cord.

Installing and Removing a PCI Express x16 Card
CAUTION
When installing a PCI Express x16 card on the Desktop Board, ensure that the card is fully seated in the PCI Express x16 connector before you power on the system.
