Auto Layout Feature
This feature automatically aligns the location of text and shapes in the Titler. Clicking the corresponding buttons aligns the text, shapes, and picture in the Preview window.
Up, Down, Left, Right, and Centering
Six types (Up, Down, Left, Right, and Horizontal/Vertical Centering) You can change the setting used as the basis for aligning. For more information, refer to Changing the Settings for the Titler (p. 216)

Making See-through Titles with Text and Shapes
You can use the Warp button to make see-through "holes" in a title that have the form of text and shapes. When you create such a hole, the video material under the title becomes visible through the hole.

Create a title overlaid with a number of objects. In the figure, text is laid over a shape (an ellipse).

Select the topmost object. Click to select the topmost object (in this figure, the topmost object is the text).

Set the color level of the topmost object to "O" (zero). If no edges or shadows are applied to the text string, it becomes invisible in the window. * For information about color levels, refer to Adjust the level of the objects. Go to the upper right of the Titler window and click the "Warp" button. A "hole" in the shape of the selected object appears in the object underneath. * You can create see-through holes with edges and shadows as well by setting the level to zero.

Click the "Preview Output" button. The transparent text appears in the Titler's Preview window and on the television monitor.
* When you superimpose another object over an object that you have made see-through, the new object does not become transparent. * Setting the level to a value from 1 to 99 in step 3 creates a translucent "see-through" hole.

Create Background
You can create a background under text and shapes. You can carry out operations like pasting pictures and filling them with a single color, enabling you to create a wide range of variations.

Using Frames
The DV-7DL PRO comes with a wide range of examples of frame material for embellishing titles. Click the "Select Frame & Background" button to display the list of frames.
2. Move the mouse pointer to the frame you want, then click to select it. The "B. G. " (background) button lights up green and the frame is displayed. You can turn the display of the frame on and off by clicking the "B. G. " button. * When "B. G. " (background) button is lit in green and the frame is displayed, clicking "B. G. " button makes the frame disappear and "B. G. " button go dark.

Using Center Images
The DV-7DL PRO comes with a large number of center images that are ideal for such uses as wedding videos and reminiscence scenes. When the symbol is black, it means that more image selections are available in the direction indicated. Moving the mouse to such a triangle makes the list scroll up or down.
