If passive mode is programmed on, it is also possible to program the system to lock the doors automatically. If passive locking is turned on, care must be taken to prevent the keys from being locked in the vehicle.
Disarming/Unlocking
To disarm the security system and unlock the doors of the vehicle, press for one second. The Failsafe® Starter Kill will be deactivated and the vehicle's horn (if connected) will honk twice. NOTE: In order for Panic Mode to function, the vehicle's horn (or optional siren) as well as the vehicle's parking lights must be connected.
Rapid Resume Logic
The system will store its current state to non-volatile memory. If power is lost and then reconnected the system will recall the stored state from memory. If the unit is in Valet® Mode and the battery is disconnected for any reason, such as servicing the car, when it is reconnected the unit will still be in Valet Mode. This applies to all states including arm, disarm, and Valet Mode.
