Interface -- Displays the interface to which the entry refers: ­ ­ · ­ ­ ­ ­ Port -- The specific port number to which the forwarding database parameters refer. LAG -- The specific LAG number to which the forwarding database parameters refer. The possible field values are: Secure -- The MAC Address is defined for locked ports. Delete on Reset -- The MAC address is deleted when the device is reset. Delete on Timeout -- The MAC address is deleted when a timeout occurs. Page 138 Defining the Forwarding Database Defining Static Forwarding Database Entries · Remove -- Removes the entry. The possible field values are: ­ ­ Checked -- Removes the selected entry. Note To prevent static MAC addresses from being deleted when the device is reset, make sure that the port attached to the MAC address is locked. To add a new static forwarding database entry: 1. The Dynamic MAC Address table contains information about the aging time before a dynamic MAC address is erased, and includes parameters for querying and viewing the Dynamic MAC Address table. The Dynamic MAC Address table contains address parameters by which packets are directly forwarded to the ports. The Dynamic Address Table can be sorted by interface, VLAN, and MAC Address.
