Before connecting your Joybook to a projector
The wide screen design of your Joybook allows you to comfortably view multimedia contents such as DVD movies and images. However, as the default resolution of most video projectors on the market may not fit that of your Joybook; therefore, before connecting to a video projector, please first re-adjust the screen resolution of your Joybook to fit the default screen resolution of the video projector by following the steps described below. Right-click on Windows Desktop and then select Properties in the menu that appears.
3. Click and drag the Screen resolution slider to set the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels, and then click Apply, OK.
2. In the window that appears, click to select the Settings tab.
Please remember to restore the screen resolution setting to 1280 x 800 pixels when you disconnect the video projector from your Joybook. If QPresentation is installed, it will auto-detect the resolution.

Connecting to External Display Devices
S-Video Output
The S-Video Out jack on your Joybook allows you to output display signals to a television set or VCR that has a S-Video input jack for viewing or recording. Turn off Joybook and connect it to the TV or VCR using an S-Video cable. Turn on Joybook, right-click on Windows Desktop and select Graphic options, Output, TV in the menu that appears. Or, you can use the <Fn> + <F3> hotkey combination to switch to the TV.
The S-Video Out jack on your Joybook supports video signals only. Plug the other end to the audio input jack of the external device.

Installing Additional Memory
You can replace the existing memory module with a higher-capacity one. Before you upgrade or replace memory, please check on the BenQ web site to determine the module which can be used, or contact BenQ distributor or customer service center. It is recommended that you take your Joybook to the BenQ distributor or customer service center for the upgrade or memory replacement. For details about the limit of maximum memory, refer to the Product Specifications Label on the product carton.
Please follow the steps below to consult the FAQ information and find out the types of BenQ certified memory modules for your Joybook: 1. Connect to BenQ On-line Service and Support (http://support. BenQ. com). Remove the battery as shown.

4. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw that secures the memory cover.
6. When inserting, pay attention to the direction of the memory module.
5. Gently push the free edge downwards until the module locks into place.

8. Replace the cover, and use a screwdriver to secure it with the screw.
9. Install the battery, and then slide the battery retainers to the original locked position. When you start Joybook, it will automatically test and configure the new memory.
