Devices supported QVoice Symphony supports a wide range of mobiles for all type of tests, including speech and video telephony as well as data tests. The devices cover multi-frequency bands for: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA, HSPA+, CDMA1X, and EV-DO, and LTE technologies. QVoice Symphony supports datacards and USB modems for testing IP-based services as well as scanner receivers for RF coverage and interference analysis in multi-band and frequency versions optimized for different geographical areas. Advanced Service Testing The advanced service testing features in QVoice Symphony are extensive, including VoIP testing between 2 cellular mobile subscribers or between a cellular mobile user and a user connected via LAN or WiLAN to the internet. QVoice Symphony is at the forefront of data testing; for example, it supports benchmarking of mobile video. Mobile video covers the realm of both creating and forwarding video clips as well as watching content created by others. Video clips can be downloaded and the quality of video content can be assessed. All mobile video services are vulnerable to transmission errors that can be distracting and unpleasant to subscribers. Accurate measurement and assessment of these disturbances are realized using either `referenced' or `non-referenced' algorithms. The first is best used where a smaller range of video content is the norm, for example in Video Telephony. However, for applications where the video content cannot be known beforehand, such as Mobile Streaming, a `non-referenced' algorithm is necessary. QVoice Symphony is also equipped to handle the latest technologies including HSDPA/HSUPA, WIMAX (4G), and CDMA EV-DO.

Standard Service Testing For benchmarking speech applications, MOS is still the main criteria of comparison. But with QVoice Symphony, MOS values are supplemented with detection of degradation effects caused by echo, silence breaks, and level jumps, which influence the quality of the user's experience. Capabilities range from ICMP-ping measurements, HTTP download/upload, and FTP upload/download, to UDP message transfer, email upload/download, and full tracing of signaling. SMS or MMS tests are done from mobile to mobile with measurements performed according to ETSI defined trigger points. [. . . ] The solutions help operators prioritize network enhancement and troubleshooting projects, which improves the efficiency of operations. Encompassing field measurements, analysis, final reports, and network improvement data, our offerings provide the accurate, comprehensive information operators require to make intelligent business decisions.
